Baked Ham with Grenadine Glaze

1 bone-in ham
  whole cloves
3/4 cup grenadine syrup
1/2 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 cup cider vinegar

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Place ham on rack in heavy roasting pan. Score the ham diagonally in one-inch diamonds. Stud each diamond comer with a whole clove.
  3. Bake ham, uncovcred for 15 to 20 minutes per pound.
  4. Heat grenadine and vinegar together and stir in mustard.
  5. 45 minutes before the end of the cooking time, carefully spread the glaze over ham. Keeping glaze hot, baste ham with it several times in final 45 minutes
